Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons Premium Wagyu Beef Tallow, melted
-
1 pound thinly sliced steak (ribeye, flank, or deli-style works best)
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
¼ cup sour cream
-
¼ cup mayonnaise
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
8 oz provolone cheese, shredded (reserve a little for topping)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat the melted tallow over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper; sauté until softened and lightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Increase heat to medium-high. Add the steak slices, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sear quickly until just cooked through, roughly 3-4 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, then remove skillet from heat.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth. Fold in the shredded provolone and taste for seasoning.
Spoon the cheese mixture over the cooked steak and veggies. Stir gently to combine, then sprinkle reserved provolone on top. Transfer to the oven and bake until bubbly and golden, about 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm with sliced baguette, hoagie rolls, pita chips, or veggies.
